Hi, I am Helena.

I've been a painter for twenty years (MFA) and worked as a corporate visualization artist, making people's thinking visible live and in real time.

Becoming me, from the in-between

I grew up bilingual, between two very different cultures — Germanic and Slavic. Two different ways of seeing, and I lived in both. I learned early to step out of images that didn't fit, and look for the truer one within myself.

That turned out to be an early gift. When you're never fully inside a single frame, you start to see the frame itself — the one many people quietly take as a given. I've been seeing them ever since. Our frames and painted walls ~ plus the decor we put on them.

Later, I moved from Germany to California — a new frame, chosen this time and with the awareness that I would have to grow into it. Spoiler: it went well. ✨

The art was never on the wall.

Making art was really an extension of an older interest — seeing the truth, and making a reflection of it. The seeing came first; the creating followed.

Art showed me something that's defined my life ever since: the way we look at things reflects who we are in essence. The art is not an object on the wall.
It lives inside the person looking, doing — the one who's alive, who may ask "how?" and "why?".

I look at people the way I look at art. To facilitate clear recognition of who you are, and the life that's yours to live.

Seeing to being

I'm a synesthete: when I listen, the patterns of a life arrive in my mind's eye as images, symbols, color. None of us can read our own label from inside the jar. Being truly seen by someone else ~ with curiosity and gentle humor ~ is what lets us experience ourselves. 

I'm a Life Guide and Artist, with twenty years' experience, including bespoke corporate visualization. I turned my craft inward, to help people see themselves from a different perspective. When we work together, we will access intuitively what you need to get "there": pattern recognition, guided visualization, personality frameworks and, if applicable, AI. 

I won't just talk you through it — I'll see you, show you what I see, and stay in the space with you while you look.
